About Us

Bryn wanted her career in horses to start when she was young. She would travel up the road to see and pet neighbors' horses. It didn't matter that they were racing standardbreds and Bryn really wanted to jump. They were horses!

Many horses, lots of hours in the saddle and too many falls later, Bryn and her current horse compete in a little bit of everything. They've done hunters, equitation, jumpers, eventing, and are now focusing on Dressage.

Bryn began instructing about twelve years ago. Instructing and training all kinds of horses and riders quickly became a passion of hers. She loves working with young and problem horses as well as children with handicaps. She concentrates on creating a relationship that is beneficial to both horse and rider. Having fun is always the ultimate goal.

When Bryn’s family took over Puckerbrush Farm a few years ago she managed to schedule in a little bit of time for everything that was important to her...education, family, friends, and horses. Bryn has become a Licensed Social Worker and is currently working on a Masters of Education with a focus in Special Education Early Intervention. She has continued her love of training horses of all abilities and for all disciplines. She loves teaching lessons, and has helped establish the Puckerbrush Farm camp held during the summers.  During camp weeks Bryn provides professional instruction, guidance, and knowledge about horses, riding, and horse care. She and staff members closely supervise ten children to ensure the children are safe and have fun! It’s an intense job that Bryn enjoys very much!

Bryn has continued to compete to stay active in the equine community at large because she feels being competitively active is very important to teaching…and because she LOVES it!

The many years at Puckerbrush has reaffirmed Bryn's teaching philosophy- you must be able to have fun with your horse in a successful, safe and competent way. She believes that there is no one set way to teach rider or horse to listen to each other. Individuality at all levels of training is very important to the success of each horse and rider combination.

Bryn is fully enjoying working with Puckerbrush, Becky Reed, Arlo Redman and Janey Knight. Each day brings more fun, laughter, knowledge, friendships and horses.
