Click here to download an application for Camp 2010

Puckerbrush Farm is offering many different specialty camps for the 2010 summer season. Please check on the application at the top of this page for available dates for the 2010 season!

Puckerbrush Camps are organized and run by competent, professional staff. We strive to maintain a 3:1 camper: counselor ratio which guarantees your children individual instruction of the highest degree. Snacks and drinks will be provided for the week. Please bring your own lunch! We look forward to meeting new campers and welcoming past campers back!

Horsemanship Camp~

Campers will learn an all-around knowledge of horsemanship including care, nutrition, first aid, hoof maintenance and riding. There will be two riding times each day for two hours each, along with various other activities.

Hunt Seat Camp~

Two point and the seemingly effortless style of the hunt seat discipline will be the focus of this week. Riders will learn the basics of navigating a course of stadium jumps as well as the fundamental aspects of a hunter flat class. Riders will learn the different jumps along with the traditions of hunt seat competition.

Dressage Camp~

USDF Intro and Training Level instruction will be the focus of this camp. Riders will learn the fundamentals of dressage; including aids, proper implementation of the movements, rules of showing and appropriate turnout for both horse and rider.

Eventing Camp~

Riders will learn about the three phases of Eventing-- dressage with its pageantry and tradition; cross country and the excitement of cantering across fields and through the woods jumping obstacles; and stadium in a ring of brightly colored jumps. First time out through Novice levels will be offered.

Vaulting Camp~

Campers will be introduced to the sport of Vaulting. Vaulting is described as gymnastics on horseback. Riders and non-riders, gymnast or not, vaulting is a sport that all can enjoy. The camp will include work on the barrel, gymnastics, and mounted sessions.
