Puckerbrush Farm is offering one exclusive camp week for the 2013 summer season. Please check on the application at the top of this page for an application! This week of camp is dedicated to ensuring growth in your child's riding and overall horse knowledge. Puckerbrush Camps are organized and run by competent, professional staff. We maintain a 3:1 camper: counselor ratio which guarantees your children individual instruction of the highest degree. The camp week is custom tailored to your child's needs and desires. Please bring your own lunch! We look forward to meeting new campers and welcoming past campers back!
Horsemanship~ Campers will learn an all-around knowledge of horsemanship including care, nutrition, first aid, hoof maintenance and riding.
Hunt Seat~ Two point and the seemingly effortless style of the hunt seat discipline have many benefits for all disciplines! Riders could choose to learn the basics of navigating a course of stadium jumps. Riders will learn the different types of jumps as well. Dressage~ USDF Intro and Training Level dressage tests teaches riders the fundamentals of dressage; including aids, proper implementation of the movements, rules of showing and appropriate turnout for both horse and rider.
Eventing~ Riders will learn about the three phases of Eventing-- dressage with its pageantry and tradition; cross country and the excitement of cantering across fields and through the woods jumping obstacles; and stadium in a ring of brightly colored jumps.
